Persatuan Gabungan Rangkaian Masyarakat (PGRM) hosted an awards ceremony for the first time to recognise individuals and organisations who had contributed to various fields at YRSK Hall recently.
It included those from the professional fields, humanitarian, education, entrepreneurship and community development.
The ceremony not only successfully brought together leaders from different backgrounds but also opened up a chapter for the society to empower the community through recognition.
The association is committed to hold the awards ceremony as an annual event and at the same time more people involved in the community would appear at the national stage.
Among the awards are Iron Lady (Rasnida Jusoh), Trailblazer Woman Entrepreneur (Harsunderjit Kaur ), Healthcare Warrior (Dr Wong Tat Hou) Guardian of Tamil Schools (Persatuan Bekas Pelajar Pelajar Sekolah Tamil Malaysia), Outstanding Aquaculture Innovation (Dhivan Babu), Torch of Humanity (Persatuan Nesakarannggal Perak) and Outstanding Work Ethic (Nagarajan Manogaran).
Some guests also went home with lucky draw prizes.
