They received grocery items at AEON Ipoh Klebang Mall on Nov 8.

The event was organised by Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Makmur Negeri Perak and Chemor Hindu Devasthana Paripalana Sabah with the cooperation of AEON.

The envoy in his speech praised the organisers for hosting the event in a business environment to attract the crowd compared to temples and other places.

“I am happy here to be part of the celebration. Deepavali is for all.

“We respect all religions and we always  look at humanity, ” he added.

Local soccer legend Datuk M. Karathu was also honoured at the event.
