Residents of Sai Setia Kasih Nursing Home here received a surprise visit by a  team from Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) and staff along with BTS R Partners, Zurich in conjunction with Deepavali.

The hospital team was led by its Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Chan while Tamil Selvi represented Zurich.

They contributed sundries, goodies and rations.

There are about 135 residents at two homes at the same location.

The homes provide dedicated and compassionate care for individuals with mental health issues, dementia, advanced cognitive impairment and facing behavioral challenges.

PCSH physiotherapy staff enlightened the residents with a lively session of exercises to boost their day.

They were also treated to a sumptuous lunch by PCSH.

Chan said:” To see the faces of the residents light up with sheer joy and happiness and when we arrived, makes our visit even more meaningful and worthwhile.

“Throughout the years we have never forgotten the unwavering support it had received from the community as a whole and will continue to give back to society by organising Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects and spreading cheer to related ethnic groups during major festivals,” he added.

The homes were founded by Dr Vejayan Sinnasamy, who also briefed the visitors on their operations and also thanked them for the contributions.
