Great news for motorists in Ipoh City.
The Ipoh City Council is embarking on road resurfacing work in Hala Menglembu Timur and Jalan Bercham in stages.
Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin was on hand to personally inspect work at the sites so that everything runs smoothly.
He disclosed that under Phase 1 work covers some 8.76 kilometres on roads in the city centre of 4.258 kilometres, while roads at residential areas of 27,133 kilometres and roads at industrial areas of 5.537 kilometres.
“The cost for Phase 1 is RM12 million and Phase 2 is RM9 million. It will also include work on drains and streetlights.
Phase 1 of the works is expected to be completed fully by early July. On the other hand, Phase 2 will be allocated RM9million and will begin in May till the end of August.
Also present during the field trip was City Council Member for Zone 11 (Bercham), Albert Ho Wai Mun, Mahader Ahmad Mohammad Ayob and Engineering Director of MBI, Azman Mohd Harun.
