The Shell Petrol Station along Jalan Hospital (Bahakhi Petromart) came into prominence again after it held a Community Care and Fire Safety Awareness Training Programme recently. .
The community care programme which included health screening, womens’ health ,blood donation by Government Departments and Agencies, kids colouring contest,rider appreciation (Grab, Foodpanda,MISI, Shopee) lucky draw where helmets and motorcycle side mirrors were given out as prizes and Zumba session were held at the the station compound.
The event was officiated by Perak Health Department Director Datuk Dr Feisul Idzwan Mustapha. Also present was Senior Territory Manager Northern Shell Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Mohd Rashdan Busu.
The fire safety training session was conducted by Fire and Rescue Department personnel at MH Hotel.
The station won the Best Toilet of The Year Award (TOTYA) 2025 in the petrol station category organised by the Housing and Local Government Ministry on November 19,2025.
Station Managing Director Bahakhi Mohammad said:”We are not looking from a business point of view but to forge a closer rapport with the local community.
“This is part of our CSR programme to create awareness on healthy lifestyles as well as fire safety. We want to bring the customers, local community, and corporate sectors together,” he added.
Dr Feisul praised the station for holding such an event and hoped others will follow suit.
“The public should take the opportunity to participate in such activities, especially health screening,” he added.
