A total of 30 SPM high achievers in the state received recognition and momentos for their hard work from three organisations at an event at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Hall in Chemor recently 

The students had scored 8As to 11As in the 2023 SPM examinations. 

The event was organised by Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Makmur Negeri Perak with the cooperation of Chemor Hindu Devasathna Paripalana Sabah and Persatuan Guru Guru Bahasa Tamil Sekolah Menengah Negeri Perak. 

Also present at the function were Senator Datuk C. Sivarraajh and Hutan Melintang Assemblywoman S. Wasanthee. 

Two foreign guests, Chancellor Saveetha University Chennai, India Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan and Chairman of Maraimalaiyadigal Foundation, Tamil Nadu, T. Thayumanavan were also among them in attendance. 

The VIPs presented the certificates and souvenirs to the students, while some of them were represented by their parents. 

Sivarraajh in his speech  to the students said:” you must be in a survival mood after their examinations and acquire various skills including communication and problem solving. 

“Students must find alternatives to further enhance their knowledge including reading books as there are a lot of challenges out there ” he added. 

 Organising chairman K. Nachemuthu in his address thanked the support and sacrifice of the  parents to attain excellent results.
