Some 1,000 people from Tambun Parliament, the constituency of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had received Deepavali goodies in the last three days.
It was distributed through Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat Parlimen Tambun.
Senior Special Officer to Tambun Member of Parliament, R. Suresh Kumar said:”The recipients are from the B40 group who received Kotak Makanan Madani and cash aid.
“The boxes include rice, murukku flour and other essential food items,”he told reporters after presenting the goodies to 150 people in Chemor on Monday.
According to him, more goodies will be distributed to the community who had registered in the next few days.
