Perak Menteri Besar Dato Seri Saarani Mohamad made an official visit to the one and only tin mining dredge No 5 and TT5 Maze Park in Tanjung Tualang here.
The trip was part of the state’s efforts to promote Perak and highlight four of its unique destinations at the international platform via an expo in Dubai in the effort to highlight state products globally.
The other products are the Embun Sahom Gopeng and Kuak Hill Resort, MBI.
The Menteri Besar along with several representatives of agencies and departments, are expected to depart for the country beginning December 26 till January 2 for that purpose.
In the meantime, present during the visit was state exco for Housing, Local Government and Tourism Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi, state secretary, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and chief executive officer of MB Inc., Anuar Zainal Abidin.
“Recently, the German ambassador to Malaysia also visited and helped to promote the TT5 to several other embassies. A German delegation will also visit the TT5 in March next year,” said Saarani.
“We are grateful for the MB’s visit here today as it is developed by MB Inc. as part of promoting eco-tourism.
“Our duty is not only to revive and restore the dredge which were part of the tin mining industry but also in line with our green agenda,” said Anuar.
The Maze Park will also house a petting zoo, The Can Tin Cafe and Ipoh White Coffee among other attractions.
