Minister of Housing and Local Government YB Nga Kor Ming was on hand to launch the groundbreaking ceremony for the PRIMA housing project in Teluk Intan, Perak recently.
The project is the first such PRIMA project in Teluk Intan to provide affordable housing.
It is located on a 140 acre plot of land and will include housing estates, commercial lots, recreation features and community facilities.
A total of 1,500 units of homes will be made available over stages. Among the community features include a multi purpose hall, mosque, kindergartens, and a central park.
Set in a panoramic site, the project features a lake view and offers a walking track and other business stalls to attract more visitors to the area.
They also include components in keeping with the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) guidelines thereby bringing better quality of living for residents. Among these are “green nodes” to encourage biodiversity and to safeguard the ecosystem.
The “smart homes” will be equipped with the latest IT connectivity to cater for the current expectations of the younger generation.
The Teluk Intan PRIMA programme is also expected to be a benchmark for modern living and eco-friendly community.
