The Ipoh City Council has just bought two more new trucks to overcome the rubbish collection issue in the city and surrounding areas.
Present at the launching ceremony was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin and his team.
The two compactor trucks are priced at RM443,000.00 each. The total cost being RM886,000.00.
Built by Hino, they have a capacity of 19000kgs/ 19 ton load capacity. They can also ferry 10 tons of rubbish collection at any one time.
The hi-tech specification of the trucks are that they are in-built with a GPS system which allows the council to track their movement.
Meanwhile, the body of the trucks are made in Turkey namely, the Orakci Makina Machinery Industry, Model ORV 316, Operated Rear Vehicle (Hydraulic Pressed Garbage Compactor).
There are also many safety features on the trucks like the DIN EN 1501 Refuse collection vehicles (General requirements and Safety Requirements) in keeping with European standards.
Other safety features include the safety button, front and back camera, speed limit, among others features. There are also other remote control capabilities.
The trucks are made from “Wear Resistant Steel” or Hardox 450 to ensure its lifespan.
