The monthly Ipoh Low Carbon Day (ILCD) organised by Ipoh City Council wrapped for the year with hosting the event, the 76th in the series here on Dec 22.

Some 2,000 participants and the support from 50 camp participants made the event a success.

This time Ipoh Industrial Training Institute supported the event by hosting TVET Fun Run which covered a distance of 5km with the participation of 500 runners.

The events were officiated by Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud and institute’s Director Azmi Mat.

Meanwhile Green Energy Asia (GEA) camp launched the used cooking oil collection campaign at the event. It will be later processed to biodiesel.

Participants who brought their used cooking oil from their homes can exchange them with cash.

The first 30 participants will stand a chance to win a mystery gift from the GEA.
