The Ipoh City Council (MBI) continues to receive visitors from outside the state, this time from an institute of higher learning.
A delegation from Universiti Malaya, the oldest university in the country, made a courtesy call on Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah on June 4.
Present were council’s head of departments and representatives from the university.
The group was led by the university’s Alumni Engagement Centre Director Nor Hafizah Abdullah.
Discussions centred on ways to initiate potential collaboration to contribute to the progress and well being of residents in Ipoh.
It is hoped the visit would be a catalyst to enhance cooperation between the institute of higher learning and local authority towards an inclusive, competitive and resilient city.
