As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), a team of staff members from Unisem (M) Berhad joined hands with SMK Simpang Pulai to commemorate Malaysia’s 66th National Day recently.
The initiative was to foster unity, goodwill and harmony.
The school has a student population of approximately 500-strong who were enthusiastic to see the staff members of Unisem.
The group was also accompanied by members of the State Education Department.
They also brought several four-wheeled vehicles and motorbikes all decorated with national flags.
The group from Unisem was led by Unisem Human Resources Senior Manager, Alan Tan, also held a Malaysia flag handover ceremony.
The symbolic gesture serves to nurture the young students on the significance of Merdeka and its true meaning.
It also signifies the spirit of togetherness and collaboration between Unisem and the school.
The event also showcased the strength of working together and highlighted the core message of “Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan, Penuhi Harapan” which emphasizes a strong dedication to unity and achieving goals.
After the resdition of the national anthem, singing Negaraku, the ceremony also saw the presentation of prizes for the Top 3 groups of the banner decoration competition.
The prizes were generously sponsored by Unisem.
There was a souvenir exchange session, with tokens of appreciation from Unisem and the school delegation.
