IPOH: Ipoh City is playing host to nationwide Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) managers meeting here from September 10 to 12.
Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud in his address at a dinner organised in conjunction with the meeting on Sunday expressed his appreciation in selecting Ipoh as the venue for the conference since UTC was set up 11 years ago.
Present were the Finance Ministry’s Division Deputy Secretary for Finance,Strategy and Corporate, Zainudin Suleiman, Ipoh City Council senior directors and department heads.
Perak UTC was officially opened by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Datuk Seri Najib Razak on February 27, 2013.
It is a project under the National Blue Ocean Strategy One Stop Centre, Service Mall which gives an opportunity and convenience for the public to perform their task and seek services at Government departments and agencies after office hours.
Perak UTC had also won several excellent awards including cleanest toilets among Government departments category , received highest number of clients in the country, council’s counter in accepting payments is the highest among the agencies and TNB counter achieved the highest revenue collection. All the awards were won in 2017.
