Also present was State Exco for Tourism, Industry and Investment, Loh Sze Yee, Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with other stakeholders.
With the state capital being recognised by several international bodies, Perak is positioned well to receive more visitors.
In keeping with the call of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to not to hold excessive events to celebrate the New Year, there were no over budget programmes to usher in the New Year.
Other agencies involved at the event was Ipoh City Council, Tourism Perak, Fire and Rescue Department among others.
There will also be numerous stalls and booths set-up in the vicinity of the stadium for the members of the public to partake.
The programmes for the Visit Perak Year 2023 will focus on Hipster, Heritage and Health or 3H.
Members of the public are urged to visit Perak and its surrounding towns like Taiping, Kuala Kangsar, Lenggong, Gerik, Kampar, Tg Malim to enjoy nature food and its attractions.
