Yayasan Bina Upaya Darul Ridzuan (YBUDR) received a shot in the arm as they received an additional mobile truck to the existing three vehicles.

The lorries would be stationed at certain locations especially in rural areas in the state to sell daily necessities including cooking oil, rice and chicken to the rakyat at up to 20 percent discount from the market price.

With additional vehicles YBUDR will be able to cover a wider area in the state so that more people would benefit from the state government initiative of Jualan Sejahtera Rakyat to assist the target groups.

The lorry was handed over by State Agriculture Development Agency (SADC) CEO Datuk Yahanis Yahya to YBUDR CEO Datuk Ismail Saffian at a ceremony here recently.

The event was witnessed by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

It is a commitment by the two agencies to expand the assistance to the people as well as enhance logistics.

Some January till August 2024, the sales had been carried out at 159 locations with 21,953 people benefiting from it with a subsidy involving RM1.01 million.
