Following the successful outing of Malaysian participants at the recent Paralympics in Tokyo, there has been calls for a special sports school for persons with disabilities to be set up.
The call has received the support from the Youth and Sports Minister to endorse the project.
It’s Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faisal Azumu disclosed that discussions are expected to be held soon to evaluate all necessary requirements before the proposal could be finalised.
“The establishment of this sports school will one day become a reality and will provide better initiatives for para sports to grow,” said Faisal.
In the meantime, Faisal also welcomed FAM’s decision to cancel the Premier League until further notice in view of the rising cases of Covid-19.
