The Anderson Curry House is an “institution” when it comes to authentic banana leaf meals along with their sizzling tandoori in Ipoh.
The restaurant is located in the compounds of the Anderson School which was founded in 1909.

The restaurant has been serving finger licking food since the past 25 years.
The man behind the scene is founder, Kartar Singh who has served countless guests from VIPs, politicians, businessmen, professionals and guests from all walks of life.

Kartar himself keeps a low profile and always is an unassuming person but  excellent PR skills.

“We have seen many ups and downs in the industry which we have been around for the past 25 years.

“We have been blessed with fantastic support from friends and well wishes who have been coming back with their families over the years.

“I would also like to thank the committee members of the Anderson School Club for their support and cooperation.

“We have been making generations of families and their friends walk away with a smile and happy tummy,” added Kartar when met by Ipoh Hyperlocal recently.

Among their hot favourites for lunch are chicken paratal, mutton, fried fish, crab curry, prawns, fish head curry, vegetables and many more.

For dinner, check out their sizzling tandoori served with naan bread and other side dishes. For tea time, try out their hot masala tea to refresh your evenings.

They also offer chicken briyani on Saturdays and vegetarian briyani on Fridays.

The outlet operates from 11am to 9pm serving guests for lunch on a banana leaf and dinner. Mondays are their day off.
