Some 3,000 Ipoh residents were entertained at a Chinese New Year Concert in conjunction with the Year of the Dragon last night.
Present was YB Nga Kor Ming, the Minister for Local Government Development Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin, Perak State Exco for Tourism, Industry and Investment YB Loh Sze Yee among others.
Highlights of the night were the Dragon and Lion dance, traditional drum performance, traditional dances, choir presentation, orchestra show, fireworks display among others.
There were also food stalls and food trucks for guests to partake.
Nga and the Ipoh mayor also released a fry of fish into the pond at the park.
The amphitheatre was fully completed in March 2023 to benefit the residents in Ipoh. It can accommodate some 800 people at any one time.
It will also serve to promote musical talents and shows while also being a tourist attraction.
