Ipoh City Council as usual under its Prihatin Program distributed Ang Pow packets in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebrations here on January 20.
Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud presented the cash aid to 17 staff at the council’s office.
Also present were Councillors Chief Whip Wong Kar Keat, Council Secretary Munir Ishak, senior directors and heads of departments.
The council had been giving out aid to all festive seasons.
It is hoped that the Ang Pow will ease the financial burden and enable them to celebrate Chinese New Year in a joyous mood.
