In an effort to ensure students are well informed of the courses that are offered by institutions of higher learning, Perak MIC had taken the lead by bringing 1,000 students and their parents to AIMST University on March 1.
Its chairman Tan Sri M. Ramasamy said,”it is our intention to expose them to what the university has to offer to pursue their studies.
“During the one-day study tour they will be able to experience the university environment,”he told reporters after presenting cheques worth a total of RM40,000 in the form of grants in the second phase to four students from B40 group pursuing studies at local universities at the State MIC office here recently.
The students are from Kuala Kangsar, Langkap, Hutan Melintang and Bidor pursuing courses in medicine, public administration and civil engineering technology.
AIMST in Kedah established by MIC’s Maju Institute of Education Development (MIED) offers a diverse selection of courses ranging from Medical, Science and Technology.
The aid from MIED is part of the party’s Jelajah Pendidikan programme.
