Members of the public took advantage of the weekend to converge at Taman DR Seenivasagam to celebrate the 37th anniversary of Ipoh City to participate in various activities lined up for them.
The carnival was officiated by Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah.
Also present were MBI Councillors Chief Whip Wong Kar Keat, councillors, council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak and MBI heads of departments.
Among the activities are Cooking, Barista Art Latte, Picnic Set-Up Deco, Sepak Raga competitions and Pop-Up Market and Pekan Pop-Up Ipoh.
Another attraction was the Jualan Rahmah Madani where the public could purchase consumer goods at discounted prices.
Zamakhshari also visited the stalls and exhibition booths .He also mingled with participants and visitors.
The carnival not only created a celebration in conjunction with City Day but also strengthened the spirit of community and promotion of healthy living style together with local entrepreneurship.
It is hoped that such a carnival would liven up the celebration and also serve as a platform to enhance relationship between MBI and residents.
