In an effort to to train and prepare teachers to face the challenges ahead, Taj International College (TIC) had collaborated with four public universities, Universiti Malaya (UM) Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Kebangsan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UPM).
An event to handover the Letter of Collaboration (LOC) was held at the college on June 26.
An Open Day was also held at the same venue .
The events were hosted in conjunction with the pre launch of School of Education for the young teachers next generation pioneer program.
The event was officiated by Perak Education Director Safuan Raba’ai .
Also present were TIC Chief Executive Officer Tina Tajuddin, school counselors, students, SPM leavers, government agencies, private sectors, NGOs, academics, parents and local community.
The program is aimed at training the next generation of teachers who are competitive, innovative and ready to face the challenges in the field of education in the 21st century.
According to Tina, such programs not only enhance strategic partnership between public institutes of higher learning and the private sector but open up channels for dynamic and holistic learning development of teachers training curriculum .
“It is to support the education revolution agenda to train young caliber teachers to keep abreast with changes .It is relevant to the technology field and digital together with a work based learning approach,” she added.
