Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah paid tribute to outgoing Ipoh City Council Secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak for his dedicated services during his term of office in Ipoh.
The 51-year-old officer has been appointed as the Mualim District Officer effective April 13.
He served as the council secretary since April 15, 2021.
Speaking at a farewell event, the mayor described the function as a symbol and recognition of the workforce to an officer who carried out his task with trust and responsibility .
“The transfer is a testimony to his experience and leadership qualities in the civil service.
“We also want to reflect the close rapport in the organisation but also enhance the bond among the employees.
“We wish Ahmad Munir the best of health, happiness in his family as well as excel in his new job,” he added.
