A gathering held at the Stadium Indera Mulia, dubbed Customer Engagement Day” Program saw an overwhelming response from the people.

The gathering was held in a spirit of openness and dedication to public service.

The program, organized by the Perak State Government, was officiated by the Chief Minister of Perak  and was also attended by members of the State Executive Council (EXCO) as well as senior officers from various state government departments and agencies.

Also present to demonstrate his commitment to the aspirations of the people was Dato Zamakhshari Hanipah, the Mayor of Ipoh, who personally went to the ground to observe and engage with the residents of Ipoh. He took this opportunity to listen directly to their concerns and suggestions, and to provide immediate feedback.

According to Zamakhshari, this people-friendly approach is highly significant in strengthening the relationship between local authorities and urban communities.

At the same time, the Ipoh City Council received complaints, feedback, and suggestions including reports of the misuse of business premises, damaged roads, proposals for new speed bumps, and improved drainage systems within the Council’s administrative areas.

The program was further enlivened with exhibitions by government departments and agencies, dialogue sessions with leaders, complaint counters, health screenings, and various family-friendly community activities.

The “Customer Engagement Day” initiative is seen as one of the Perak State Government’s proactive efforts to strengthen a culture of integrity, transparency, and more efficient and inclusive public service delivery to the people.
