Some 60 personnel from the Ipoh City Council who were part of the team to be involved in the flood relief operations in Kuala Langat, Selangor and Bentong, Pahang were recognised in a ceremony yesterday.
Present was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with other heads of departments.
Among them were Abu Bakar Hussian (Councillor) , Musa Dun, Senior director of Services and Operations, Rohayah Abd Kadir, Senior director (Services), Meor Abdullah Zaidi Meor Razali (Director of Landscape) and Zaiyadi Sudin (Director of Licencing and Enforcement).
“The efforts of these personnel were vital in helping residents and the authorities there during difficult times. This is our way to show our sincere appreciation,” said Rumaizi.
They were presented with a certificate of appreciation, a token cash amount and a souvenir.
The dedicated service of the personnel involved had also further alleviated the image of the Ipoh City Council.
