Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin hosted a welcoming dinner for the delegation of specialist dentists attending their conference recently.

The gathering was held at the Tingkat Valley in Meru in a green setting.

Also present was Dr. Salleh Zakaria who is the deputy state director for dentistry along with Dr Roshima Mohd Sharif, Director of Services for National Dentistry Dept, Profesor Dr Norliza Ibrahim, Profesor/Senior Consultant from Oral Radiology Oral and Maxillofacial, Universiti Malaya and Dr Afzan Adilah Ayoub, Clinical specialist Endodontist Dept UITM, Dr. Rosenani Mohd Noordin, Director of Dentistry Perak along with delegates and others specialists.

The theme for the conference was “Never Lost in Endodontic Challenges” and was organised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Ipoh city was chosen as the venue for the meeting after the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year is also the Visit Ipoh Year where there are a series of programmes being organised in the city.

Among the themes are  Hipster, Heritage and Health Tourism or 3H.

The attendance of the dentistry experts will further identify Ipoh as a much preferred destination for visitors.

In his address, Dato Rumaizi hoped that the delegates would take in the sights and scenery of the city and have a successful conference.
