Despite the opening up of the economy and interstate travel allowed, assistance for the needy and underprivileged folk will still be continued.
Thanks to corporate citizens like Econsave, the Ipoh City Council will continue their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The commitment was given by Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
“Some 10,000 people in Ipoh have so far received assistance from us. Nearly RM1 million has gone to this initiative.
“Other than the needy, the recipients include businesses and Ipoh City Council employees in the low income category,” said Rumaizi.
Present was Econsave Northern Region 2 manager, Chua Yong Chiang at a memorandum signing ceremony between Ipoh City Council and Econsave.
Rumaizi also praised Econsave for their dedication and commitment to help the underprivileged since he Covid-19 pandemic started last year.
