To ease the burden of those celebrating Hari Raya, Ipoh Barat MP M.Kulasegaran distributed cash aid and food packets to those affected by floods recently.
The cash aid was given to 100 families to ease their financial burden after their homes were hit by flash floods at. Buntong, Kampung Tai Lee and Tawas on Feb 16.
He also presented 81 food packets containing dry items sponsored by Econsave Supermarket to families in preparation for the celebrations as well as to break fast.
According to Kulasegaran earlier the flood victims also received cash aid of RM1,000 from the Federal Government and RM300 from the district office and other assistance from the Government and agencies.
A few weeks ago the flood victims received mattresses.
“Those who need aid and assistance can approach the service center,” he urged.
Also present were Senior Penghulu Mukim Ulu Kinta (Lahat) Mohd Shahdu Azree Mohd Yusop and Penghulu Khairul Anuar Chedin.
