Distribution of rubbish bins at Taman Chepor Indah

The Ipoh City Council plans to distribute 100,000 rubbish tins for free to households over the next five years to ensure a clean and healthy environment.

They also advise residents not to hang plastic bags filled with rubbish on gates, fences and trees.

The council will also educate residents on the importance of a clean surrounding for overall health of the community.

At a recent rubbish bin distribution at Taman Chepor Indah, some 580 rubbish bins (180 litre) were distributed to residents there.

Prior to this, some 12,849 rubbish bins have been given out to residents in Bandar Baru Putra, Desa Pakatan, Bandar Baru Menglembu, Taman Buntong Ria, Taman Bersatu, Simpang Pulai, Taman Kelebang Jaya, Meru, Manjoi and Kampung Baru Tanah Hitam since July 2021.

It is hoped that residents in and around Ipoh will inculcate the habit of disposing of their household rubbish in a responsible way.
