In recognition of their services to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, officers from the Ipoh City Council (Enforcement Dept) were honoured in a ceremony recently.
The officers had been on duty at the various PPV centres throughout the city.
Present was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with Zaiyadi Sudin, director of Enforcement and Licensing and Wan Embong Ismail, head of Enforcement.
Dato Rumaizi congratulated the officers for a job well done.
“Although the fight is still not over, we hope that we do not let our guards down,” said Rumaizi.
He also urged them to be vigilant at all times.
In a related development, the Pasir Puteh market will be closed from Saturday Nov 20 till Sunday Nov 21.
The closure is to facilitate sanitisation and cleaning work. Normal operations will be available on Monday Nov 22, 2021.
