If all goes well according to plan, there will be a new police headquarters in Ipoh.
This is following the proposal to move the headquarters to Meru Raya here.
A visit by personnel by the Ministry of Home Affairs led by Puan Zaiton Yahya and team was held recently.
Also present was Perak CPO Dato Pahlawan Mior Faridalathrash Wahid; Deputy Perak police chief, Dato Pahlawan Azizi Mat Aris and Deputy Director (Facility/Supply/Asset) of Technology and Logistics Department of the police, Senior Assistant Commissioner Azizee Ismail.
They discussed the location, size of land area and matters related to the new site.
The present headquarters of the Ipoh Police station is located in the heart of the city along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab.
