The Ipoh City Council will not send out physical assessment tax bills to premise owners for the July- December 2023 period, instead they can pay through digital services developed by the council.
The owners can register with DMBI applications and make their payments online via FPX and e-wallet.
This system is more efficient and clients will be provided with notification of new bills.
In future this application will provide a module for owners who want to settle their assessment tax payments in installments to ease their financial burden.
Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud launched the DMBI application on Wednesday.
In January this year, the council developed an application to offer an eco-friendly method to access, check and pay the bills with one click.
Those ratepayers who approach the council’s counters will be briefed on the new system.
Rumaizi noted that a total of 28,800 applications had been downloaded through Google Play Store and Appstore.
On another subject, the Mayor announced attractive prizes awaiting those who pay their assessment tax bills for 2024 (for the whole year) and without any arrears and register under DMBI will qualify for the lucky draw.
The total price is RM99,000 including the first prize a Perodua Axia, four motorcycles and other household appliances and RM200 cash consolation prizes.
A total 20,000 customers who pay the 2024 bills early will enjoy a rebate up to RM5 based on the terms and conditions.
