Dato Rumaizi at the launch ceremony

In order to keep abreast with the latest technological advances and offer more convenience to the general public, the Ipoh City Council has launched the Ezbooking platform.

This new platform will enable Ipohites to make payments for bookings for function halls, fields and other sports facilities managed by the Ipoh City Council.

On hand to launch the new initiative was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin accompanied by councillor Dato Dato Mazlan Abdul Rahman, Ipoh City Council secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak and other heads of departments.

This new booking platform replaces the former platform – eDewan.

“Consumers will only need to register with their identification number (ID) and fill in basic information like address, email, and handphone number to make payments or do their bookings.

“They do not have to be physically present at any of the City Council counters,” said Rumaizi.

The new platform is also simple and easy to understand. After every transaction, consumers will receive an email confirmation on their transaction.

The system also has an option for cancellations or refund requests.

It is hoped that with the new EzBooking platform,  the quality of service provided by the Ipoh City Council will be further enhanced inline with the “Digital Community 2025” aspirations.
