Good news for those from Ipoh planning trips to Langkawi.
Local airline, AirAsia is offering round-trip flights, Ipoh-Langkawi Island and Langkawi-Ipoh three times a week following the reopening on Sept 16.
The reopening is part of the tourism bubble as announced by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister, Dato’ Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri.
The first flight will begin on September 17 and two more flights are scheduled for September 19 and 22.
Those who have had two doses of their vaccine do not need police permit.
“Passengers will board the Airbus A320 from Ipoh to Langkawi on 17 September at 1.40pm and arrive at Langkawi International Airport at 2.30pm,” read the statement from the airline.
