Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin was honoured with a prestigious TAJ International College (TIC) award in conjunction with the 10th convocation ceremony held at the Royal Perak Golf Club.
The award was in recognition of his dedication, administration development and service to the city.
Present was the founder of Dato’ Sri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Chief executive of TIC, Tina Dato’ Sri Haji Tajuddin, Executive Director, Mohd Azad Jasmi and Aishah Binti Mohamad from Perak Education Department.
A total 169 students graduated for their diploma and certificate programmes.
Rumaizi in his address, the satisfaction and sense of achievement is not only felt by the graduates but also their parents and family members.
“The experience will also become a fond memory in their lives, ” he said.
He also expressed his congratulations and appreciation towards TIC for hosting such a grand convocation.
In the meantime, he thanked TIC for awarding him the special award.
TIC and the Ipoh City Council have several collaborations in the field of smart education and partnerships especially durinthe Covid-19 pandemic.
This is also in line in achieving the Smart City status for Ipoh.
TIC has also launched several vocational courses to benefit students this year.
