
The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has once again achieved a proud milestone by being listed among the top 10 public sector organizations and winning the Bronze Medal at the 2025 Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA), held at Dewan Perdana, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) recently.
This prestigious award was presented by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), and received by Tuan Zamakhshari Hanipah, Mayor of Ipoh, on behalf of the Ipoh City Council.
This achievement is a recognition of MBI’s commitment and continuous efforts in strengthening a culture of integrity, excellent governance and anti-corruption initiatives at the local government level.

The accomplishment serves as a source of motivation for all MBI personnel to continue enhancing integrity and professionalism in every aspect of administration and service delivery to the city’s residents.
This recognition not only elevates MBI’s image as an organization that upholds integrity and transparency, but also demonstrates that a work culture based on the principles of good governance can produce outstanding performance and earn public trust.
The Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) is an annual initiative organized to recognize public and private sector organizations that demonstrate excellence in implementing integrity values, good governance, and anti-corruption efforts, in line with the government’s aspiration towards clean and highly accountable administration.
