The Perak state-level Chinese New Year celebration was held at the Lost World of Tambun.
Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Tambun, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made his presence at the ceremonies.
Guest-of-honour was Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
Other guests included Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zahid Hamidi, Perak Menteri Besar Dato Saarani Mohamad and Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
Throngs of people who attended were entertained with lion dance and dragon dance performances.
Needy children were also presented with ang pow red packets.
The Year of the Rabbit in the lunar calendar is expected to bring prosperity, wealth and good fortune to all.
