It was a memorable day for the graduates of the Quest International University (QIU) in Ipoh when they were finally rewarded for their hard work and dedication at the convocation ceremony recently.

The university celebrated the academic success and trailblazing spirit of hundreds of graduating students at its 7th Convocation Ceremony.

Spanning two sessions, the convocation was presided over by QIU Council Chairman Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran and QIU Chancellor Tun Arifin Zakaria.

This grand celebration brought together over a thousand attendees, including graduates and their loved ones from across Malaysia and around the world.

.Graduates received their diplomas, bachelor’s degrees and postgraduate degrees in six faculties – the Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Computing and Engineering, Faculty of Integrated Life Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The convocation hall was filled with beaming family members and friends as bright-eyed students from the graduating classes of 2022 and 2023 – decked in sleek gowns and mortar boards – made their way onstage to receive their well-earned scrolls.

Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate Leo Shann Ling was named valedictorian for her first-class grades, natural flair for leadership and a keen sense of community service unmatched by her peers.

For her outstanding efforts, she received QIU’s top scholastic prize – the Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran Award 2023.

QIU Council Chairman, Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran said “Today’s convocation marks a significant milestone in the lives of our graduates. As they step out into the world, they will encounter a dynamic and ever-changing landscape. Success in this era requires not only the ability to adapt, adjust, and accommodate to the changes that come their way but also the determination to thrive amidst uncertainty. The ASEAN region, with its abundant opportunities, serves as a testament to the potential that awaits those who embrace change with an open heart and a resilient spirit.”

QIU Chancellor Tun Arifin Zakaria said: “Our graduates are our pride and joy. They are our ambassadors to the world and our legacy. We expect them to dream big, to rise to greatness, and I’m certain they will indeed. They should rest assured that QIU will always be by their side to help their careers take flight. To help them scale new heights of success and be their safety net should they falter. We are family and that will never change.”
