Chinese New Year is one month away, the community will welcome the Year of the Dragon next month and of course host a reunion dinner.
Travelodge Ipoh brings its CNY specials for those wanting to celebrate the occasion. They have prepared a remarkable array of Chinese cuisines which will be available from January 15 to February 24, 204 from 6pm to 10pm daily.
There are two exclusive menu packages.
Package 1 – Classic Package (RM999 nett) which includes Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon and Jelly Fish, Double Boiled Hearty Chicken Herbal Soup, Prosperity Treasure Bowl, Secret Steamed Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice with Prawn Toe and Chilled Mango Pomelo Sago with ice cream.
Package 2 – Jade Package (RM1,388 nett). Diners will have Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon and Abalone, Braised Superior Fish Maw & Crab Meat Soup with Fried Scallops, Foil Wrapped Steam Herbal Chicken with Fresh Ginseng, Steamed Fish Garoupa with Melaka Nyonya Tamarind Sauce, Slow Stew Sea Cucumber & Black Moss with Black Mushroom, Wok Fried White Prawn with Soya Bean, Secret Steamed Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice with Prawn Roe, Chilled Mango Pomelo Sago with ice cream Golden Fried Chinese Rice Cake Ball.
A three day advance reservation is required for the packages.
Travelodge also offers Poon Choi takeaway.
It is an auspicious one-pot dish in a very large pot served with mouth watering roasted chicken, roasted duck, tiger prawn and fresh scallop, yam, cabbage, sea cucumber, broccoli, mushroom and radish at RM388 nett. Option to add on abalone priced at RM96nett and fish paw at RM110 nett. Diners need to book one day in advance.
