Some 250 school going children of the staff of the Ipoh City Council received their back-to -school programme assistance from several caring corporate citizens recently.

The corporate social responsibility (CSR) handing over ceremony was held at the Azlan Shah Hall at the Ipoh City Council.

Due to the CMCO currently in-force, only two students represented the group, namely,Muhammad Dzulkarnain Dzulkafli and Muhamad Naufal Jerfan Mohd Zainudin.

On hand to present the goodies was Ipoh Mayor, Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with Dato Mazelan Mohamed,  the general manager of Puncak Emas Infra Sdn. Bhd (PEISB) and managing director of Canggih Sutera Sdn Bhd, Rozamir Zulkifli being the main sponsors.

Both of these companies deal with the supply of school equipment.
Each of the kids received a school bag, a pair of shoes, socks and stationary materials.

Prior to this event, some 50 needy children from the B40 group in Buntong Harmoni and Kinta Heights flats were also presented with back-to-school programme assistance.

Ipoh City Council also encourages more members of the corporate sector and non- governmental organizations to help underprivileged communities in the city.
