It was great fun and a roaring night when some 200 retro lovers danced the night away with wonderful and memorable numbers at the Retro Night 2019 held at the Impiana Hotel Ipoh last Saturday.
On hand was deejay KT Pillai, the popular emcee and also the President of the Toastmasters Club Ipoh who kept the audience entertained with his music and rapping.
He has been in the industry for more than 25 years and is a popular figure at premium private and social events. Earlier, DJ Albert started the night off with his gig.
The highlight of the night featured DJ Harry and DJ John Sham who brought the house down with their performance.
DJ John Sham was the deejay at the x Palm Groove and ex RMAF fighter jet pilot) while DJ Harry (Owner of the former Slippery Senoritas Club Penang).
The deejays showcased their skills and showmanship to play vinyl records on turntables before cassettes, discs and the the present gizmos came in and enthralled the audience.
Guests from as far as Melbourne, Penang and Kuala Lumpur made their presence.
“The gathering managed to portray Ipoh’s vibrant past where people like to dress up out for a night of clean fun and camaraderie,” said Pillai.
Guests also won room stays at the Royale Chulan Penang, meal vouchers from G Hotel and G Hotel Kelawei Penang, Hard Rock Hotel Penang and Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa.
The up-coming Retro Party 2020 will be held at a location to be announced.
