The Ipoh City Council brought Christmas cheers to 30 council employees by presenting Xmas goodies to them.
Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah presented the contribution under the Sumbangan Khas MBI Prihatin.
It is hoped the contribution including cash and goodies would ease the burden of the employees and celebrate the festive season in a joyful atmosphere.
It would also forge a close rapport and unity among the council staff.
At the same function the Mayor also presented prizes to the winners of the pasar malam contest 2025.
The prizes are given based on their commitment, dedication and also ensure the management of the pasar malam is done in a proper manner, clean and remains competitive.
Persatuan Penjaja-Penjaja Kecil Melayu Pasar Malam Bergerak Bahagian Kinta (PAYUNG) as the organiser of the pasar malam in Taman Perpaduan grabbed the first prize and collected RM3,000 along with an appreciation certificate.
Second place went to Persatuan Penjaja dan Peniaga Kecil Melayu Perkasa Negeri Perak who operated the Pasar Malam Rapat Setia.They won RM2,000 and appreciation certificate.
Third spot was captured by the same association where the pasar malam is at Medan Gopeng. They took home RM1,000 and an appreciation certificate.
Consolation prize of RM500 and certificate went to the same association. The pasar malam is located at Taman Sri Rapat.
Also present were council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak Councillors’ Whip Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman, councillors and heads of departments.
