A large crowd of 10,000 people converged at Dataran Bandaraya Ipoh to watch the 2026 World Cup Football Final between Argentina and Spain.
Defending champion Argentina failed to defend the title after as they were beaten by Spain 1 – 0 in extra time. The is the second time they are lifting the coveted trophy.
Present was Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah, councillor Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan who is also the Program Coordinator, councillors, council”s heads of departments, sponsors, state football legends and media representatives.
Fans and supporters came in droves with mattresses and chairs to join the event in a relax mood.
The attendance of the crowd who came well before the kick off shown on the large screen were akin sitting in a stadium with thunderous noise and claps .
As a token appreciation Saarani presented certificates to sponsors while five fans went home with lucky draw prizes.
Saarani also visited exhibition booths, mingled with the crowd and Meet & Greet Perak football legends
