The Ipoh City Council signed an agreement with Selekta Spektra Sdn Bhd to facilitate the processing of scheduled waste and other waste products at Papan Ulu Johan, Mukim Belanja, Daerah Kinta, Perak.
The project is the first in the state to ensure safe disposal of waste materials located in an area of 140 acres.
Prior to this all waste material was sent to Negeri Sembilan disposal site.
This also involved the higher cost of transportation.
With the present agreement, stakeholders and related industries will stand to benefit through lower cost and savings.
Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin was on hand to sign for the Ipoh City Council while Dato’ Sri Andy Lim Kok Han (chairman) and Ms Eliza Lee Chin Thien CEO of Selekta Spektra Sdn Bhd were at the signing ceremony recently.
