It was a proud moment for the Ipoh City Council when their own staff members bagged the Anugerah Keluarga Sukan (Sports Family Award) here at the 2023/2024 Perak Sports Awards ceremony.
Mohamad Ayob Kamarudin a former employee of the council with his family members were adjudged the winner as a recognition to their contribution in the sports field especially tenpin bowling.
Other family members involved are Nor Azlita Hashim (Valuation and Taxation Department), Mohamad Aiman Arith Mohamad Ayob (Infrastructure Engineering Department) and Nor Baitul Ayu Atisya (UTC Transformation Unit Perak). The family received RM2,000, trophies and certificates.
The council congratulates Mohamad Ayob’s family and hopes the award would be an inspiration to its employees and city residents.
The event was graced by the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
Also present were Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and other royal and state dignitaries.
Awards were also presented to winners in 12 other categories.
