YB Nga greeting Ipoh Mayor during the walkabout

Infrastructure and roads in various parts of Ipoh will be repaired and upgraded following the allocation of RM2.4 million budget by the Ministry of Local Government Development.

Among the areas identified are the Kg Simee Market, Dataran Taman Cempaka, Bandar Seri Botani, Jalan Sungai Pari, First Garden (Silibin) and Lorong Isaac (Buntong).

The much welcomed news was made by the Minister of Local Government Development YB Nga Kor Ming made the announcement following his walkabout in these areas.

 Among the allocation are – 1) Infrastructure upgrading at Kg Simee Market RM800,000.00, 2) Gutter replacement and related work at Dataran Taman Cempaka, RM95,000.00,  3) Road upgrading and widening at Persiaran Lapangan Siber 1, Bandar Seri Botani, RM800,000.00, 4) Road upgrading at Jalan Sungai Pari, Buntong, RM500,000.00, 5) Road upgrading at First Garden Flats, Silibin, RM145,000.00, and 6) Construction of drains and related work at Lorong Isaac, Buntong, RM120,000.00.

The MInister was joined by local politicians namely Jenny Choy, assemblywoman for Canning and deputy speaker of Perak State Assembly, Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin, MP for Ipoh Timur Howard Lee, MB for Ipoh Barat YB M. Kulasegaran and other officials.

The upgrading exercise will surely bring relief and socio-economic benefits to residents in these areas.
