There was patriotic spirit at the Amphitheater@ Laman Sejahtera, at Taman DR Seenivasagam when Ipoh City Council (MBI) organised the Cintailah Malaysia Program in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations on September13.
It was attended by the Council’s Community Director Romzi Zamri.
The two hour event was part of the council’s monthly program carried out by the Community and Society Services Department .
It is an ongoing initiative to keep the cultural environment lively , strengthen identity and instill the spirit of love for the country.
Gema Warisan Group entertained the crowd with patriotic segments, culture and arts performances in line with the “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni” theme.
It is hoped the event provides an opportunity for Ipoh residents to appreciate the true meaning of independence and Malaysia Day.
It would also be a platform to foster unity and love for the country which is the basis for the development and progress of the city and country.
Apart from the entertainment aspects it also serves as a platform to unite people from all ethnic groups through the spirit of patriotism.
The council hoped the residents would continue to support such activities to strengthen harmony, unity and national identity in the city.
