The Ipoh City Council hosted an appreciation dinner for those retiring from their services.
In all, some 107 staff were involved in the retirement exercise. The dinner was held at the Casuarina@Meru Hotel in Jelapang.
On hand was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin and other heads of departments.
The retirees were thanked personally by the mayor himself and feted to some fine food. They were also given tokens of appreciation for their long service.
“The occasion is to show our sincere appreciation and thank those who had served with the Ipoh City Council. They had served well for the Ipoh City Council,” said Rumaizi.
