A Proton Saga 1.5 awaits a lucky assessment tax payer which is offered by Ipoh City Council as the first prize for those who settle payments for the whole of 2026 without any arrears.

According to the council’s media statement these are among prizes worth a total of RM100,000 to be  given out to them.

The second prize is two motorcycles, a Smart 65 inch television, a 10Kg washing machine and household  appliances and cash together with 200 consolation prizes .

Early birds would receive special souvenirs subject to availability of stock and conditions. The prizes are to encourage city residents to pay up the taxes.

For the convenience of the taxpayers and to avoid congestion, the council had opened up more payment counters .

Counter at the council main office in Greentown would be open on Saturdays and Sundays in January and February from 9am to 1pm except for public holidays.

At UTC extra counters have been set up from Monday to Friday which will operate from 8am to 9pm.

On Saturdays and Sundays the public can pay from 8am to 5pm except for public holidays.

With these extra facilities residents can make payments without disrupting their daily tasks and work. They can also pay through the council’s online facilities.

The council records its appreciation and cooperation from the residents in settling the assessment taxes for the benefit of the well being and development of the city.
